About this website
The Banana Cat website team maintains the browser game and player guides at idlecatgame.com. It is an independent game project, with gameplay inspired by internet cat culture. References to meme names do not imply endorsement by their creators.

How we build the guides
Guides are written around the game’s implemented rules, interface and practical examples. We check room progression, weapon requirements and save behavior against the current release. Illustrated mechanics examples and tools are labeled so players can distinguish a demonstration from a complete playthrough.
Character source notes separate a meme’s reported history from this game’s behavior. Where an original creator or origin is not confirmed, the guide says so. If a guide is out of date, send the URL and relevant game details through Contact; published changes are recorded in Updates.
AI-assisted tools are used in parts of the site’s development, writing and artwork workflow. We review gameplay explanations against the implemented game rather than treating generated text as evidence. Source attribution is not a substitute for permission to use a work.
Thirty rooms, one growing arsenal
Move, aim and fire your way through six chapters: a snack room, a living room, a kitchen, a freezer base, a laundry loft and a rooftop garden. Breakable objects build lasting weapon progress. Mischievous cats interrupt the cleanup with swipes, projectiles, charges and pounces.
Each room has a clear finish: destroy its breakable targets and defeat its finite set of enemies. A shield-carrying dog waits at the end of each five-level chapter, adding new attacks as you progress.
The campaign has twelve weapon types, eight shared firepower stages and five late-game refinements. Coins buy shared quality and refinement upgrades. The weapon guide explains the unlocks and costs. Cry Burst becomes available after clearing level 10.
Made for a browser break
Open the game in your browser and start without an account. Desktop players use keyboard movement and mouse aiming. Touch players have a movement stick and a fire button with auto-aim.
Your progress stays in the current browser. Return using the same browser profile and site address to continue; the game does not provide account-based cloud syncing. Read Save & Data before changing devices or removing browser data.
A guide you can keep beside the game
Adventure menus, the Arsenal and the chapter map are in English. Battlefield hints remain in Chinese. This website explains the controls, enemies, weapons and level route in English. English names in the guides are descriptive labels, so they may differ from the text you see in the game.
New here? Start with How to Play. Already playing? Use the Cat Guide to read an attack or the Chapter Guide to plan the next room. The update notes explain recent changes to cover and encounters.
