October 9: Full backups and privacy choices
Export your saved game, medals and postcards in one file. Preview its contents before restoring; the tool keeps a separate copy of your current data before switching to the restored save. Open backup and restore.
Your save: this update does not reset progress. Saves at www and the main address remain separate; move them manually with the backup tool. Pause and close other game tabs before exporting. See the address migration guide.
Optional Google Analytics waits for your permission. You can play and save with analytics off, and change your choice in Privacy choices.
October 7: Play in French
Play with French menus and use the French Wiki, weapon, room and save guides. Switch languages with the website language menu. Character and weapon names stay the same; some guide screenshots still show the original labels. Play in French or open the French Wiki.
Your save: English and French share progress in the same browser on the same site address. Pause and close the current game tab before continuing in the other language; you do not need a new save.
October 6: Help, privacy and easier sharing
New Contact, Privacy, Terms and All pages sections make the website easier to navigate. Optional analytics now waits for your choice and can be switched off from the footer.
Every page has a public-link sharing panel. Follow these notes in a feed reader using RSS or JSON Feed. These website changes do not reset game saves or postcard claims.
October 6: Eight new upstairs encounters
Rooms 21–28 introduce Scared Hamster, Smug Goat, Crying Cat, Fire Chihuahua, Mellow Capybara, Marmot Duo, Shrug Guardian and Screaming Marmot. Rooms 29–30 mix the new attacks. Watch the continuous windup and recovery animations, floor warnings and lingering fire, tears, sound waves or rolling citrus.
Each attack has its own short synthesized sound effect and follows the game’s mute and pause settings. The original room counts, enemy health, rewards and weapon balance remain unchanged. An existing saved attempt keeps its previous enemy behavior; the new encounters begin when you start a fresh attempt.
See the new enemy warning guide and rooms 21–30 walkthrough.
Twenty more postcards for your collection
The original postcard is joined by twenty illustrated cards: 21 altogether. Finish any room today, including a replay, then choose Claim postcard on the result screen or in Collection for your next uncollected card. Room 1 counts, so a new player can earn the first card right away.
You can claim one card per local calendar day, resetting at midnight on your device. Missing a day does not lose cards or skip ahead. Earlier saved clears and opening the game alone do not qualify; finish a room that day and claim manually after progress is saved. Existing cards stay collected, and sharing is optional. The new cards open their own artwork and offer Save image; the original card retains its existing share page. Read postcard saving and recovery.
October 1: Twelve weapons share your growth
Six new weapons add ricochets, slowing bubbles, returning fishbones, candy traps, chain hits and charged shots. Clear rooms 6, 10, 14, 18, 22 and 26 to unlock them for free. Every weapon shares your strongest growth stage, quality and refinement, so earlier guns remain useful.
Five refinements unlock after rooms 14, 18, 22, 26 and 29. Changing guns preserves individual cooldowns. Use the battle cycle button, Arsenal, or desktop shortcuts to try another approach. Existing coins and clears carry over; eligible new guns are restored from your progress.
Read the weapon guide for roles and costs, or special controls for touch placement and manual aiming.
Ten more rooms upstairs
Laundry Loft opens after room 20 and covers rooms 21–25. Clear it to reach Rooftop Garden, rooms 26–30. Work around fixed laundry units and planter benches, read familiar cat attacks in new combinations, and face the Shield Dog at the end of each chapter.
Your coins, weapons, quality and growth carry over. A saved clear of room 20 opens the next room. The original twenty rooms keep their layouts and enemy health. Weapon milestones and quality prices are unchanged; the arsenal update now shares firepower across all twelve guns.
At the upstairs update, the campaign had six weapon types, eight growth stages and eight adventure medals. The original twenty-room medal stays earned. Postcard rewards and sharing were not included in that earlier upstairs release; see the October 6 collection update above for the current rewards.
Explore the chapter map
Choose a chapter and follow its five stops. Preview a room’s opponents, object coins and any unclaimed first-clear bonus before you commit. Locked rooms can be previewed too.
Continue returns to your paused attempt. Preparing another room or restarting asks for confirmation, so looking around does not replace your current run. After room 30, the map helps you choose a replay or return to your Arsenal and Collection.
New scenes, details still growing
The map and chapter guide include new illustrations for Laundry Loft and Rooftop Garden. These are chapter previews: the new battle backgrounds and some small objects still use simpler artwork while we finish the details.
Fixed furniture in the new rooms has been adjusted to match the space it blocks. Laundry units and planter benches stay in place; small breakable targets still count toward clearing the room.
September 30: Arsenal, medals and a clearer finish
At that release, the in-game Arsenal showed the original six weapon types, their real attributes, eight growth stages and Q1–Q5 quality. The October 1 update expands it to twelve shared-growth weapons. Locked weapons can be previewed. The Collection menu tracks eight adventure medals with exact goals; returning players quietly recover achievements supported by their saved progress.
Opening or closing menus keeps the fight paused until you explicitly continue. A room must still be fully cleared, followed by its 2.4-second celebration, before its report appears. New medals join that one report, and your finishing loadout is fixed for the session. Earlier saved clears do not invent a past weapon.
The postcard album and sharing features were not included in the September 30 release. They have since been added; see the current collection update above.
September 29: Cover in the original twenty rooms
The original twenty rooms gained two to four groups of fixed furniture, including snack counters, sofas, kitchen islands and freezer cabinets. They block movement, bullets and piercing shots from both sides. Cats can find a route around them, and charges stop when they hit furniture.
These objects are permanent cover: no health bar, no coin reward and no contribution to the room's destruction objective. Touch auto-aim skips targets hidden behind them.
September 29: More room to move, new wave timing
Player movement is faster. From level 2, ordinary cats enter in groups as you break objects, defeat earlier cats or spend time in the fight. Limits on active enemies and attacks remain in place. Bosses still wait for the preceding ordinary cats to be cleared.
Level 1 keeps its destruction-based introductions. Later levels can have overlapping ordinary waves, so keep an escape route open when pushing through a group of objects.
September 29: A lighter cleanup in the early campaign
Level 4's breakable objects now have one quarter of their previous health. Ordinary-cat health is reduced by 15% in level 5 and by 12% before rounding in levels 9, 13 and 17.
Boss health, weapon-growth milestones, quality prices and rewards stay the same. Your route from teardrops to rainbow shots has not changed.
Returning players keep their progress
Before loading this update, close any older Banana Cat game tabs, then reopen this website. Keep just one game tab open so different versions do not save over each other. Use the same browser and site address to keep your progress.
Supported older saves are checked and migrated, with the original data backed up in the same browser before replacement. Coins, weapon growth, defeated targets and settled rewards are retained.
If a saved character overlaps a new piece of furniture, the game can move it to a nearby free space and cancel its old attack. Keep using the same browser and site address. Read more about saving.
Try this on your next run
Use a piece of furniture to block an incoming volley. Move around a corner for a clear shot, then watch the room before committing to another target cluster. A new group of cats may already be entering.
Our cover and waves guide breaks down the new rules with a simple diagram and enemy-warning tips.
